Songs by Dua Lipa, Dodie and others as well as works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Heinrich Schütz
People with physical, mental and emotional disabilities are often disabled in our society. The program of the two choirs Sing&Sign and Pop-Up explores the question of how people face various obstacles and crises and experience community, strength and happiness. Sing&Sign is an inclusive ensemble that makes vocal works by Bach and Schütz in particular accessible to hearing-impaired people and performs with sign language and deaf performance. Pop-Up brings a program with strong songs such as "Secret for the Mad" by Dodie and "Dance the Night Away" by Dua Lipa to the stage, giving a voice to young and no longer young people with mental disabilities. Together, the two ensembles explore musically - in some pieces also together with the audience - who or what helps people through the dark hours of life.
After the concert, there will be an opportunity to talk to the artists about inclusive performance in German spoken and sign language (approx. 19:30-20:00).
