Deutschsprachige U20 Meister*innenschaft im Poetry Slam: Vorentscheid Süd-Ost

The German-speaking poetry slam champions are returning to Munich with a preliminary round of the U20 competition!

50 young poets from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will compete in five preliminary rounds for a place in the grand final in Erfurt. The best poets from Bavaria, Lower Austria and Vienna will compete against each other in the "South-East preliminary round" in Munich on September 4.

The successful poetry slam format has been fascinating audiences for over 30 years with its top-class spoken word competition. A sheet of text, a microphone, a poet - that's all it takes to give the audience goosebumps, send emotions rippling through the room or inspire laughter.

The rules are very simple: 6 minutes time limit, no props and a self-written text. The winner is traditionally chosen by the audience. In the case of the Meister*innenschaft, individuals in the audience are spontaneously selected and provided with jury panels.

Come along and enjoy an evening full of surprises. The U20 competition is in no way inferior to the "big" poets, on the contrary: the texts are often even more emotional, experimental and authentic. Here you can discover the stars of tomorrow!
