Immerse yourself in a fascinating journey through time that takes you from the present, through the founding year of the engine factory in 1869, to a fluid and changeable future. In the historic ambience of the Deutz gas engine factory, where world motorization began in the 19th century with the invention of the gasoline engine, you will experience the eventful history of this unique place.
The impressive building and factory complex of the former Klöckner Humboldt Deutz works comes to life in a personal atmosphere. At the same time, you will discover how Anja Kolacek and Marc Leßle have transformed this place into today's raum13 Deutz Central Plant of Fine Arts through their creative and dedicated work. Layers of the past are uncovered and placed in an exciting dialog with the present and possible futures. Each tour is a separate production that focuses on individual themes. New paths, perspectives and focal points open up the complexity and richness of this unique place to visitors.
