DFD Festival: Glorious Body

The Düsseldorf-based swimwear label GLORIOUS BODY was founded in 2021 and offers conscious swimwear that celebrates the female body with flattering cuts while respecting our planet's limited resources.

For the patterns, fabric selection and choice of production site, founder Lisa Hübsch enlisted the support of the Good Garment Collective from Berlin (www.goodgarmentcollective.com), which is known for its socially and ecologically responsible process chains. Fabrics and yarns made from recycled polyester are only used in a single layer in the production of the swimsuits in order to conserve resources. Thanks to well thought-out patterns, fabric waste is also minimized (zero waste) and swim scrunchies and hairbands are made from leftover swimsuit material. The fabrics are produced in Lombardy, Italy, and then handmade in Poland. All suppliers are characterized by compliance with sustainable and fair production standards.

The swimwear start-up is presenting itself for the first time at the Düsseldorf Fashion Days in its home city. In keeping with the summer and the vacation season, swimsuits and accessories can be examined with cool drinks and relaxed music.
swimsuits and accessories can be viewed and tried on - thanks to a small changing room. Different wrapping techniques for the swimsuits will be explained and a special discount will be offered to mark the occasion of DFD.
