Mr. Boning goes swimming: For a year, Wigald Boning went swimming every day, outside, in all weathers. For some this is admirable, for others it's desirable. Either way, entertainer and TV face Wigald Boning is a true champion of perseverance.
He has tangled with swans and cargo ship captains, swum in the sea, crystal-clear mountain lakes and muddy pools, dived into ice holes and crowned himself on Coronation Day with a dip in London's Thames (anointing with dubious care products included).
In a witty slide show, Boning takes his audience to the deepest depths and to the crest of the wave of his sporting achievements and, if necessary, also gives tips for imitators: How do you keep the cold at bay when winter swimming? What do you need to consider in the rainwater retention basin at German airports? And: Why go swimming every day for 365 days? Is it nice? Or at least fun?
And where better to talk about winter bathing and "daring to do something" than here on the Töwerland Juist?
