Musica della Strada

Archaic, unusual, intense: circus band or Neapolitan serenade players, Balkan wedding combo or chamber music woodwind ensemble, Apulian street banda or jazz lyricists obsessed with sound. Somewhere in between and a little bit of everything is the music of the trio Die Abenteuer. With simple melodic instruments and extravagant arrangements, three rhythmically pulsating bundles of energy defy the forces of the digital age. They get the most out of their horns with breakneck virtuosity - always curious about the sound possibilities of their unconventional instrumentation.

It all began in the late 1980s. As an unusual horn section in a school band. A lot has been done and experienced since then: the wind players set out on their own and roamed Mediterranean squares as street musicians, played their way through Berlin and London pubs, performed for Jehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now foundation for socially marginalized groups, played as Trio Blasirello for seriously ill children, were guests on international festival stages and then went out into the world again, driven by an irrepressible desire to travel.
