A prince without a principality, two retired German army officers and an AfD member of parliament meet with an astrologer. What sounds like a joke leads to what is probably the biggest anti-terror raid in Germany on December 7, 2022. 25 people were arrested who had apparently planned to overthrow the German government. This "Reichsbürger" association believes in the Deep State, secret tunnels and systematic child abuse by the government, in the imminent intervention of an all-powerful secret alliance. The media's classification fluctuated between walker terrorists, nutcases with guns and dangerous right-wing extremists. Since April 2024, the so-called Reuß Group has been on trial in Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich - can a mammoth trial with over 400,000 pages of case files and at least 100 days of hearings provide clarity?

Sina Ahlers, who has been writer in residence at Theater Bielefeld since the beginning of the season, and Marie Schwesinger, who has already staged research plays about the murder of Walter Lübcke and NSU 2.0, among other things, are taking a close look. They sit in the courtroom as court attendants, but also research far beyond that - all the way to Bielefeld. The result is a satirical-documentary evening of theater about conspiracy ideologies and right-wing extremism, and about how our society deals with both.
