Chez Company – Leinen los! / Die Argonause

In the organizer's words:

Travel stands for adventure, the desire for the unknown and a longing for the world. At the same time, we are aware of the destructive effects of mass tourism on the climate and the environment. We are dedicating a program series to this topic with monthly publications in various formats: Together with Chez Company, the FFT is embarking on an excursion that invites you to explore the beginnings of tourism as well as climate-neutral options that stand for a new, responsible desire to travel.

The starting point: Rheinwiesen. Our joint heroine's journey naturally begins on the Rhine: we want to launch our imaginary ship on the waterway in search of the transformative Grail. And that means christening, launching and departure all in one!

We introduce the project and our fellow travelers: Why climate balance, what does it mean for your own mobility? The first travel texts will be performed together with you and rituals will be developed: What do we need for such a journey? What do we take with us, what do we leave behind? Do we have a common language, a mission, a fear, a drive? The song of longing for travel - Captain take us on the journey - supported by Düsseldorf choirs accompanies the imaginary departure - and of course the hymn of the Argonause. In a year's time, we will emerge from the waters here again. Changed? Hopefully!
