When Avery Sutton returns to his childhood home after years of traveling, he expects nostalgia and homely familiarity. Instead, he finds a physically questionable building, a family that would leave even the most colorful sociologist baffled, and secrets that would have been better left under the rug. Together with his fiancée, he makes a desperate attempt to untangle this cheerful mess - a task that is akin to a modern heroic epic.

This bittersweet comedy serves up sharp-tongued humor, delightfully absurd characters and a touch of profundity that leaves the audience wavering between laughter and reflection.

These theatrical fireworks are presented by Heidelberg's premier theater group "die ARTbacken", which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this semester.
