Sebastian dances! And he dances "the darkness":

dark emotions, sadness, anger, the "evil" - but also partying and excess. In Billinger & Schulz's latest choreography, Sebastian deals with himself and with the current depths of frustrated boys and men who feel rejected. Set to uplifting nightcore songs, which are part of male-dominated forums on the internet, he enters parallel digital worlds and social retreats. He explores how it feels for men and boys to be confronted with progressive questioning about what a man is or how he should be, as well as with the blanket rejection of men, and critically examines discursive descriptions of masculinity as "toxic". He is supported by Jungyun Bae, Magdalena Dzeco and Camilla Fiumara as projective anime girls who have emerged from the internet and become reality on stage, as well as long-standing artistic and friendly allies. Together with them, Billinger & Schulz explore the tension between stereotypical images and the fact that relationships are only possible with real people, which of course also includes the possibility of rejection. The three dancers become sparring partners for breathless relationship training, in which they and Sebastian meet in ever new constellations that reveal familiar conflicts, but also alternatives and ways out.
