The earth above me
Performance with music by W.A. Mozart and Nick Morrish
Every day we say goodbye to something: waste paper, our favorite pants or a person. We are relieved, sad or liberated. But how do you say goodbye well? Two young people, two senior citizens and two members of the Schauburg ensemble share their personal experiences of goodbyes and new beginnings. The musicians of the Munich Chamber Orchestra in turn share their interpretation of Mozart's Requiem fragment expanded with new compositions. Together, the artists bring the power that comes from grief and beauty and the humor that lies in tragedy to the stage.
The Munich Chamber Orchestra is known for its work with young people, its curiosity and its spirit of discovery. Music theater director Anselm Dalferth introduced himself with the world premiere of "Leise Laute" at the Schauburg. Now, with this heterogeneous ensemble, he invites us to a multi-layered, personal evening about farewells and new beginnings.
The commission to Nicholas Morrish is kindly supported by the Rotary Club Munich.

The translation will be provided by Christian Pflugfelder and the deaf performer Nur Sera Beysun, who will translate the music theater production for deaf and hearing-impaired people in the form of "shadowing" - they will move around the stage with the performers and musicians and simultaneously translate text passages (and musical passages if necessary).
