To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the Bayerische Theaterakademie is showing the film adaptation of Peter Weiss' documentary play Die Ermittlung (The Investigation), which documents the Frankfurt Auschwitz trials, at the Prinzregententheater. Director RP Kahl has restaged the work for the big screen with sixty actors. Witnesses, judges, defense attorneys and prosecutors appear, recalling the horror of what happened in Auschwitz.
