Amelie (Audrey Toutou) has created her own fabulous world. She loves the little things, the inconspicuous details, the quiet tones and the thoughtful gestures. She has an eye for magical moments that seem more fleeting than the blink of an eye. Amelie always has her head above the clouds, but at the same time manages to keep her feet firmly on the ground. She is kind, likes to help other people and works as a waitress in a café in Montmartre. There's always something going on there, including some pretty weird guys and a hypochondriac colleague. So of course there's a lot to do. But then Amélie falls in love with the gentle weirdo Nino Quincampoix (Mathieu Kassovitz) and doesn't know how to approach him. Suddenly Amélie needs help herself.
