To take revenge on his friend Eisenstein, Dr. Falke, alias "Die Fledermaus", stages an ingenious disguise game at one of the legendary soirées of the unapproachable Prince Orlofsky. Here, everyone can be whoever they want to be: single or married, aristocratic or exotic. But watch out! Disguised with masks and false names, every counterpart can turn out to be a surprise and in the end you blame it on the champagne.
Popular melodies such as "Glücklich ist, wer vergisst, was doch nicht zu ändern ist", "Spiel ich die Unschuld vom Lande", Rosalinde's Csárdás and the waltz in Act 2 make "Die Fledermaus" the most famous of all operettas.
