Operetta by Johann Strauss

Before starting a prison sentence, you should have some fun. This is the advice given to Gabriel von Eisenstein, convicted of insulting a civil servant, by a certain Dr. Falke. But this advice harbors a plan for revenge: revenge for a humiliating prank by Eisenstein. Eisenstein sees Prince Orlofsky's ball as the perfect opportunity to indulge in sparkling champagne incognito and away from his ignorant wife Rosalinde. But events take a surprising turn. Rosalinde is enjoying herself at home with her lover Alfred when the prison warden Frank appears. To avoid compromising Rosalinde, Alfred pretends to be the warden. And so the false Eisenstein is sent to prison, while Rosalinde and her chambermaid Adele now also go to the ball. An unstoppable series of entanglements, faked identities, intrigues and flirting traps takes its course. Whether waltz or Csárdás, unresolvable plot knots or drastic act finales - Johann Strauss (son) perfected the art form of the operetta with "Die Fledermaus". In autumn 2024, 150 years after the premiere, Theater Koblenz invites you to continue celebrating in the theater tent at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

In principle, either the cable car or the specially arranged shuttle bus runs to and from every performance in the theater tent. Use is included in the price of every theater ticket. Which means of transport will be used will be precisely indicated in good time on the website for each performance. Of course, as usual, the use of all public transport in the VRM is also included in the ticket price.
