A passionate amateur climber falls to his death while mountaineering. Everything points to a tragic accident, but Inspector Jang has his doubts. His suspicions quickly fall on Seo-rae, the widow of the deceased. But the policeman soon falls under the spell of the seemingly vulnerable woman. The two begin to play a game that they soon can no longer control.

After dedicating the first part of our crime series to German productions, we now look to other countries. The visually impressive film by South Korean cult director Park Chan-wook is a captivating balancing act between a rousing film noir and a melodramatic love story.
