An artistic journey through time. In view of the current threat posed by right-wing extremism and based on the history of the Düsseldorf theater group Nordwest ran (1930-1933), the players ask what political theater against the right might look like today. Hilarius Gilges, a member of the theater group, was brutally murdered by the National Socialists. His story exemplifies the murderous racism and political persecution in Germany at the time. With acting, singing and dancing, the ensemble interweaves historical, biographical and transcultural stories. The stage becomes a place of resistance. Because "The storm begins in the northwest // Red lightning then flashes // Northwest ran, northwest ran ... "
