Die Jungen im Kunstverein

In the organizer's words:

The Junge im Kunstverein is a platform for anyone who is looking to engage with art and exchange ideas with like-minded people. Here you can meet new people, network and learn more about art in direct conversation with art historians, artists and gallery owners.

The May event on Tuesday, May 20 at 7 p.m. will focus on inclusion, disability and accessibility in museums: we will take a look at the exhibition Kunst fühlen. We. All. Together. with a guided tour by Lara Franke.

Lara Franke is a consultant for inclusion at our museum and, together with curator Eva Fischer-Hausdorf, has regularly met with a group of people with and without disabilities in the museum for the exhibition Kunst fühlen. Together, they selected works by artists with disabilities from the Kunsthalle Bremen collection as well as works on loan from contemporary artists.
The exhibition encourages visitors to reflect on how people explore the world in different ways - through their senses, language, feelings and social relationships. It also offers the opportunity to actively experience and shape art and culture regardless of physical, mental, social or cultural conditions.

Afterwards, we cordially invite you to the art get-together in the members' gallery. As always, snacks and drinks will be available for a small donation.

If you are a member of the Kunstverein in Bremen and between 20 and 40 years old and would like to attend, please register by emailing Pauline Reischuck. Anyone interested who is not yet a member is welcome to come along for a taster evening.
