Since spring 2024, new extreme right-wing groups with a conspicuously low average age - often underage - have been making headlines across Germany. Under labels such as "Jung & Stark", "Deutsche Jugend Voran" or "Der Störtrupp", they present themselves on social media with a lot of fanfare and claim to be determined and ready to use violence. Their enemies are migrants, queers and left-wingers. Images of disruptive actions and marches against CSDs in eastern Germany in particular attracted attention. In the meantime, several members of these groups have already been sentenced to several years in prison. Increasingly, some - mostly the driving forces - are orienting themselves towards party-affiliated youth organizations, especially the "Young Nationalists".
