In the organizer's words:

... should be a must for all friends of singer/songwriting and song poetry. Created in 2004 as an independent offshoot of the open stage, it has lost none of its charm and flair. Over the years, many song poets and songwriters have presented the open song stage, and now Lothar Rosengarten from "workingmansdead" has taken over the moderation. The open song stage is aimed at all established and aspiring musicians who would like to try out their own songs in front of an appreciative audience. It is both a podium and a meeting place for many musicians and thus also has a certain workshop character.
