We hardly ever hear about the bitter and violent experiences refugees have had in their home country and during their flight. The authors Cornelia von Schelling and Waltraud Volger will read two such painful stories from their book "Die Schatten der Vergangenheit besiegen" (Overcoming the Shadows of the Past). All the stories contained in the book were gradually confided to the authors during long conversations.

Overcoming the shadows of the past and being able to lead a reasonably safe, normal life - this is made possible by Refugio Munich through professional psychotherapeutic work. It includes the systematic inclusion of the refugees' cultural roots.

Herrad Meese will describe this special offer from Refugio Munich in theory and practice in the second part of the event.
