Book launch & talk with the authors and the founder of Refugio Munich

Flight - help - new start. The authors read from their sensitively recorded stories of refugees who found help at Refugio Munich. They and the founder of Refugio München report on the important work of this advice and treatment center.

• Herrad Meese, Germanist, is the author of the first German and multimedia textbook for German as a second language. She designed and wrote a radio language course translated into over 70 languages for Deutsche Welle.
• Cornelia von Schelling, who holds a doctorate in American Studies, has published numerous non-fiction books on psychological topics relating to children and young people, as well as books and essays on Latin America. These include "The Rebel's Daughter" and "The Women of Havana". She grew up in Colombia and Brazil and lives and works as a freelance journalist and author in Munich.
• Waltraud Volger has been a volunteer at Refugio Munich for many years, including as a board member of the Refugio Munich support association. Her autobiography of Gisela from Schwabing was published in 2008.
• In 1994,Anni Kammerlander and other courageous women founded Refugio München, the advice and treatment center for refugees. She was managing director there until 2012 and is still a board member of the Refugio Munich support association and the ChancenReich foundation. She is tirelessly committed to helping refugees who need psychosocial support and has a wealth of experience in helping refugees thanks to her decades of work.
