Elisa's grandmother Eya firmly believes that you can cheat death. You just have to turn into someone else and go on living. Elisa loves her imaginative and a little crazy grandma, but lately Eya has been changing faster and faster, getting stranger by the day. Elisa is very worried, but she has no one to talk to about it. Her mother and grandma haven't spoken to each other for a long time because they have fallen out over old conflicts. But Elisa understands that without her mother's support, Eya will not be able to realize her big dream and will never find the freedom she longs for.

The play combines a magical fairytale world with a real story and deals with the themes of love, loss and the need for understanding - particularly important in the context of life and identity in a foreign country. It shows that despite all the differences in language, culture and experiences, there is always hope. Even in the face of death, there is the possibility of understanding each other and passing on love - if we are prepared to listen.
