Die Steine – Rolling Stones-Tribute

The Rolling Stones are a world cultural heritage, the stone age constant and the only active representatives of popular music who have embodied the history of rock 'n' roll unchanged - for no less than 62 years after their foundation. "Die Steine" are Würzburg's only rock band with a full-length program that exclusively features songs by the Stones. Since its premiere in 2010, the band has stood for energetic and inspiring live performances. "Die Steine" are based on the great originals, but without pursuing the strict demands of faithful copies or neglecting the space for improvisation.

Rüz Löser (drums), Stefan Hußl (guitar, vocals), Matthias Gerhard (bass, vocals) and Manfred Gawlas (guitar) concentrate primarily on the songs of the "golden" years, which are particularly popular with Stones fans. Between 1965 and 1973 in particular, every single Stones single and LP was regarded as a significant event and had a far-reaching influence on the entire music scene. The program includes Stones classics such as "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and "Brown Sugar", but also lesser-known songs by the "Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band in the World".
