Talk at Theater 509

Strong women for Cologne - these are artists, researchers, entrepreneurs, politicians, scientists, sportswomen, journalists.... They are also networks, associations and projects. They shape the city, have left their mark, are present in the public eye or have an impact on everyday life. Cologne offers a rich pool of strong women. Many of them have already taken their place in Cologne's women's city map.

In our series of talks, we give the audience the opportunity to get to know three of them personally. This time: Ciler Firtina, the activist for democracy and human rights, Dr. Monika Hauser, who has been fighting persistently against sexualized (war) violence against women for more than 30 years with the women's rights organization medica mondiale e.V., which she founded, and Glenda Obermuller, who helped build the first black library in NRW, the Theodor Wonja Michael Library, with the Sonnenblumen Community Development Group e.V..
