You are the people and we are your opium ...
Under this motto, the band "Opium fürs Volk" was founded in 2021 due to a new line-up from one of the most successful Toten Hosen tribute bands "Kauf Mich!". The boys continue the motto: a tribute to Die Toten Hosen.

Nothing lasts forever: the name is different. But thanks to the high level of professionalism and unbroken passion for the music, the quality remains the same. At least!

... Before ...
All out of love: In 2012, 5 passionate "hobby" musicians founded a tribute band under the name "Kauf Mich!" with the aim of providing fans of their idols "Der Toten Hosen" with a professional show that comes close to the original.

Away game: For almost a decade, they have been playing their way into the hearts of audiences throughout Germany and also in Switzerland.

Here today, there tomorrow: In over 250 shows, the guys have always given their all in front of audiences ranging from a few 100 to 4000+ spectators. They have played regularly in trendy clubs such as Zeche Bochum (sold out), Altes E-Werk Nierstein, Musiktheater REX Bensheim, 7er Club Mannheim (open air with record audiences) and many others. The band has also been booked for open-air events such as the Hessentag, summer festival in Stuttgart and the RHEMA in Altstätten (CH).

Opium fürs Volk" play everything a Hosen fan could wish for, from the old classics to the new songs. In addition, lesser-known gems loved by the band, some of which have been forgotten or are unfortunately rarely played by the Hosen themselves, are also interspersed.

1000 good reasons: ... to attend a show. An evening celebrating the Toten Hosen under a false flag, with loud choral singing, creative dance interludes and a cold drink or two.
