Die Verwandlung - Kafka Konzerte

In the organizer's words:

"Literary-performative indie pop", based on Kafka's great works. The concert sheds light on fragments, diary entries and personal letters - and thus on Franz Kafka the man.
Kafka's work belongs to the canon of world literature because it oscillates at the tipping point between absurd and real experience. Shortly before the breakthrough to knowledge, his characters tip back into the supine position, like a beetle on its shell. His entire oeuvre revolves around psychological processes in which people seek stability and orientation.
Our concert follows Kafka's paths into psychological depths, where darkness reigns but a light still burns. Be it humor, reliance on a good friend, devotion to art or love, ... some force pulls the beetle from its supine position.

Olga Seehafer is a freelance actress and musician in Hamburg, among others at AXENSPRUNG THEATER and HIDDEN SHAKESPEARE, recipient of various scholarships and grants (Fonds DAKU, Bundesverband Popularkultur, Kunststipendium Landkreis Bamberg, etc.).
Jakob Fischer is a freelance dramaturge and musician in Hamburg, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the City of Hamburg, the German-Czech Future Fund, the German Orchestra Foundation and the GEMA Foundation, among others. His projects have been performed at the Volksbühne Berlin (Interfilm Festival), the Schauspielhaus Hamburg (Superzart*-Festival), the Fusion Festival and various international cultural exchange venues.
Lorenz Schmidt is an actor and musician in Hamburg, with engagements and guest performances throughout Europe.
