Die Wein-Lese im Februar: "Erfurt gestern und heute" mit Ulrich Seidel

Once a month, the Peterknecht bookshop and Weinmanufaktur Erfurt invite you to an intellectual and literary evening on the Petersberg. The Thuringian Vinarium is located in the historic gun emplacement on the Petersberg, which provides the perfect and atmospheric setting for these special readings.

In February 2025, Erfurt author, photographer and carilloneur Ulrich Seidel will be our guest. In his latest illustrated book "Erfurt yesterday and today", he juxtaposes 55 previously unpublished historical photos from the city archives with current images from the same perspective, impressively showing how the city's appearance has changed.
Ulrich Seidel, born in 1961, is an outstanding expert on the history of his home town of Erfurt. The trained locksmith works as a city guide in his spare time and writes as an editor for an online newspaper. With "Erfurt. Rundgänge durch die Geschichte", the passionate amateur photographer has already published a successful historical travel guide about his home town with Sutton Verlag.
