Die Wein-Lese im Januar: "Die Orgelbauerin" mit Martin Meyer

In January 2025, the Franconian author Martin Meyer will be our guest. In his novel "Die Orgelbauerin" (The Organ Builder), he tells the story of Paula Bertram, who, in the 1920s around Weimar, wants to break into the then purely male domain of organ building - a story of organ building and the Weimar Bauhaus.

Martin Meyer, born in 1967, studied law and worked as a public prosecutor and judge in Bamberg. After retiring from the judiciary in 2007, he embraced his literary talents and has been writing novels, short stories and poems ever since. Due to his diverse interests, he also moves between genres.

Today, he passes on his legal expertise as a lecturer in workshops for authors. Above all, however, he plays the organ and trombone on the side. His love of the organ and music inspired him to write this novel. Martin Meyer lives with his wife in the heart of Franconia.
