Night Radio Show - or William Shakespeare's sonnets as medicine against nocturnal loneliness / by Judith Kuckart and the ensemble // World premiere // Kleines Haus

As always from Wednesday to Thursday, presenter Gerlach sits in the studio of Radio Nord Nordwest 2. On this night too, people will talk about their lives. Because when they tell their stories, the worst disasters take on a meaning. Tonight, however, Gerlach has good news: "Reading properly saves you from everything, including yourself," he says into the microphone right at the beginning. Call in and tell us if and how a book, a song, a poem or even a sonnet by Shakespeare has saved you. Because in England, for example, people suffering from depression are given books on prescription. Listen or simply call 0800 2254 2254 and find solace... On this night, four people from the NOW are calling, people like you and me. But a Dark Lady from the afterlife also calls.

Together with Shakespeare, the ensemble and director have set out on a journey, immersed themselves in the world between the news and written texts that find their place in this nightly radio broadcast.
