Dikanda (PL)

The renowned world music band DIKANDA is back in Reutlingen! Since their foundation in 1997, the musicians from Szczecin have developed a unique and authentic style inspired by different cultures. With their own compositions, which unite the Balkans, Israel, Kurdistan, Belarus and India, DIKANDA takes you into a fascinating world of sound, and with seven albums released and numerous awards, DIKANDA has firmly established itself on the international music market. The band inspires with energetic live performances that promise an emotional journey through ethnic sounds. The unique musicality of DIKANDA creates an extraordinary atmosphere and enchants the audience.
Characteristic for Dikanda is the formation of new words in their lyrics, thus creating an original language of the band - 'Dikandisch'. The name DIKANDA originally comes from a fantasy language but also stands for family in an African dialect and is wonderfully suited to express the family life, the musical style and the emotions of the group: The joy of singing and playing, passion, spontaneity and lots of energy.
