„Dinner For One“ als Start des Lebendigen Adventskalenders in Volksdorf

This year, the amateur theater HOT SPOT opens the Living Advent Calendar in Volksdorf and presents the stage classic "Dinner For One" (or: The 90th Birthday), the 18-minute sketch by Lauri Wylie from 1963, behind the first door on December 1.

The theater classic, which runs on loop every year on New Year's Eve, gets funnier the more you see it. The elderly Miss Sophie is celebrating her 90th birthday with her four closest friends, all of whom have already passed away. Miss Sophie's butler James therefore takes on all the roles of the imaginary guests and toasts the elderly lady's birthday more than he would like.
In the Advent production, Clara Schepp slips into the role of Miss Sophie and Reinald Kruse plays the butler James.
The play will be shown several times in a row and the amateur theater association invites you to watch the play in a live broadcast from the building in front of the Erlenbusch, Klosterwisch 8 in 22359 Hamburg, starting at 5:00 pm.

The Volksdorf Living Advent Calendar
The Living Advent Calendar in Volksdorf is an annual tradition in which the community comes together from December 1 to 24 for daily changing surprises outdoors.
At various locations in Volksdorf, hosts decorate their "little doors" with lights, creative Christmas decorations and, in some cases, musical and literary contributions. Participants come together to listen to stories, sing and enjoy the Advent season in a convivial atmosphere. The activities encourage people to come together and create a festive atmosphere in the district.

This year, the Living Advent Calendar is intended to raise funds for the "Freundeskreis Künstlerhaus Maetzel". The money will go towards renewing the shutters, which are in need of renovation.
