With an impressive 500+ shows across Europe, the UK and Mexico, three studio albums and a mesmerizing live album and all just since 2017, Swiss band Dirty Sound Magnet are an unstoppable, unwavering force in rock. The uniqueness of their mesmerizing music and kinetic live performances has won over audiences around the world. Their show is unpredictable: shamanic stage presence, rock star charisma, instrumental prowess, poetic vocals, tantalizing dynamics. Expect the unexpected.

As teenagers from Fribourg, Stavros Dzodzos (guitar, vocals), Marco Mottolini (bass, backing vocals) and Maxime Cosandey (drums, backing vocals) devoured hundreds of albums while rehearsing with great intensity. Their passion quickly turned into an addiction and a total dedication to their art. Years of experimenting and practicing led to the development of the DSM sound and the DSM lifestyle. The plan has always been the same: "There is no plan B".

The DNA of this award-winning Swiss act can be traced back to the "Golden Age of Rock" (60s, 70s), but instead of copying the heroes of the past, Dirty Sound Magnet have worked hard to forge new paths of their own. Their music has been likened to a fusion of Led Zeppelin's energy and instrumental virtuosity, the raw energy of Iggy Pop and the mystique of The Doors. Incorporating modern psych influences such as Tame Impala and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard along with thought-provoking lyrics that reflect the social turmoil of our times, Dirty Sound Magnet have created their own musical formula.

Since the release of their third and most successful studio album "DSM-III" (Hummus Records, 2022), Dirty Sound Magnet have played over 130 shows, including sold-out tours in the UK, Germany and Mexico, and were awarded the "Best Swiss Rock Band" award in 2022, winning it for the second time after 2017. The group began to attract attention with their debut album "Western Lies", which was released in 2017 on the Berlin label Noisolution, and won the award for "Best Swiss Rock Song" with "Homo Economicus". They then toured Europe extensively from 2017 to 2020 and established themselves in the continent's burgeoning psychedelic rock scene. This was followed by festival appearances, such as at the Swiss Montreux Jazz, Gurten and Caribana, as well as gigs supporting rock heavyweights such as Wolfmother and Monster Magnet. In 2019, the band released their ambitious concept album "Transgenic", which further cemented their status. When the world came to a standstill during the Covid-19 pandemic, the group used their downtime to record the live session album "Live Alert" (2020), which showcased their otherworldly improvisational skills. Recorded in just one session, the album was a huge success and gained the band many new fans worldwide.

Dirty Sound Magnet's music is in a constant state of evolution, and their upcoming album, which will be released in late 2023 on Australian label Wild Thing Records, is a testament to their artistic development. With the band touring since 2022, this new album will take them to new continents and appeal to a wide audience.
