At the release concert for the A-side of his album "morgen werde ich mich dafür hassen", DISSY moves between UK punk, alternative rap and balladic pop and, in typical DIY style, drops his personal covers completely unadorned.

DISSY moved from the then wild Prenzlauer Berg to Erfurt, where not only he himself, but also the "DISSY" project was formed and shaped by crazy, left-wing shared flats, rap crews and nerdiness. Back in Berlin, he has been working on his creative process around music and film for several years now and, in addition to numerous festival and support gigs, has also ticked the odd chart position off his checklist. The lyrical content of his output can be described as ambivalent as his upbringing between an outdoor toilet and a stucco ceiling: self-doubt and flights of fancy often go hand in hand, the turbulent life of a Berlin artist is juxtaposed with the AfD-infested eastern province and the pendulum swings back and forth between darkness and romance. DISSY shows us how to make himself approachable and takes us into identity crises, self-reflection and his never-resting head. And artistically, too, he avoids treading water for too long and continues to search for the next possible sweet spot.
