DJ-BIKE Soundart Workshop: Klanglandschaften als Kopfhörerdisco mit Ian Jakab

In the organizer's words:

The soundscape of the city is a great orchestra - a soundtrack made by weather and urban planning decisions, by technologies and by living beings of all kinds.

How urban spaces sound influences our well-being - of humans and non-human creatures alike. And if we listen carefully, we learn a lot about coexistence in the city.

Participants in the workshop use the Dawn Chorus app from the Naturkundemuseum Bayern and embark on an acoustic search for sound situations that are typical or atypical for their neighborhood - and that they would like to preserve or change in the spirit of good neighborliness with all forms of life.

Together with the sound artist and initiator of the "DJ-BIKE" project, Ian Jakab, the workshop participants will create a sound art piece: a sonic walk that will be performed in the evening with the DJ bike as a headphone disco. Registration at events@dawn-chorus.org!
