In the organizer's words:

The Akafö is turning 60 - and we're celebrating together with you!

On July 15 and 16, we invite you to the big DJ picnic on the GA meadow: "Beats & Bites " - the summer event in the middle of the campus, in front of Q-West. Look forward to two relaxed evenings with live music, cool drinks, delicious food and a great atmosphere - a thank you to all the students who have been with us for six decades.

Soundtrack & games

Live DJs will provide the musical soundtrack to your summer evening. A special highlight awaits you on Tuesday, July 15: we are delighted to present local Bochum hero and internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Max Bering! Max Bering is known for his energetic tech-house beats, which create a great atmosphere on every dancefloor and with which he has already impressed at major festivals such as Parookaville and Nature One. Don't miss this performance!

And for all those who like to compete: Take part in the beer pong contest on July 15 for your chance to win cool prizes and fame on campus!

In our open-air chill-out area, you can enjoy the start of the lecture-free period in the open air. If you like, you can reserve a picnic basket for two to four people in advance - perfect for snacking and sharing during the event.

There is a choice of vegetarian/vegan and meat options:
