Free, outdoors and under palm trees: this summer, the DURCHLÜFTEN music festival will once again transform the Humboldt Forum's large Schlüterhof courtyard into a lively meeting place for sound, rhythm and culture.

Over four weekends, music from all over the world will radiate from the stage: from the raw energy of Mexican cumbia punk to the hypnotic groove of Kenyan dodo blues, from the electrifying syncopation of Congolese soukous to the powerful messages of Afrofuturist big bands. Japanese folk with a Caribbean influence, soulful jazz, hip-hop and the joy and resilience of the Frafra gospel round off this celebration of sound - boundless, multi-perspective and irresistibly danceable!

DJ Radio Hobo (Venezuela, Berlin)

Radio Hobo is a Berlin-based DJ and graphic designer who brings his Caribbean roots to all facets of his work. As curator and founder of radio shows such as Troptopia on Cashmere Radio and the rare groove show RRYTM on THF Radio, he has been creating unique musical soundscapes for over a decade.

Radio Hobo is known for his vinyl sets full of tropical sounds from the 60s to the 80s and has taken his record crates from London to Rotterdam, from Cape Verde to Mali and beyond. He has played for renowned radio stations worldwide, including Gilles Peterson's Worldwide FM, Kiosk Radio, Soho Radio London and Year Zero Istanbul.

In Berlin, his grooves have shaken the dance floors of Anima, Bar Tausend, Monarch, Schokoladen, Acud and the Humboldt Forum. No matter where Radio Hobo plays, one thing is certain: tropical heat!
