GROOVE RAIDERZ x BIKINI MITTE pres. DJ-Workshop für Anfänger

Our young groove collective Groove Raiderz, which has established itself in the Munich techno scene and beyond over the past year, is offering a DJ workshop at Bikini Mitte!

The Groove Raiderz collective was founded in 2023 by Sarica, who has already made a name for herself internationally. We regularly organize hard groove events in collaboration with Munich techno clubs such as Rote Sonne, DNA Club, or Bahnwärter Thiel and attach great importance to the art of DJing, musical quality and nightlife.

With this workshop, we want to remove the entry barrier to DJing for interested and curious people and share our own experiences with the participants in a 3-hour workshop. We hope to promote new talent and help shape the techno scene in the Munich area.

In the interactive workshop, participants will learn the basics needed to make their first transitions on the decks. This includes an introduction to the DJ software rekordbox, the DJ equipment itself, mixing basics and some music theory, and the first hands-on experience at the DJ booth with our support. After the workshop, we invite you to network and linger in the Bikini Mitte, where our workshop hosts will take over the decks. You can ask us questions or network with the other participants!

Workshop contents:

• rekordbox Basics (interactive)
• DJ hardware overview and functionalities
• Mixing basics for transitions and understanding music
• First mixing on the decks

What you need for the workshop:

• Laptop
• USB stick
• a pair of headphones that you can connect to your laptop

Costs

To cover the costs, participation in the workshop costs 20 € (to be paid in cash on site), but includes a drink.

Registration

The workshop is unfortunately limited to a maximum of 15 participants, so that everyone really has the opportunity to try out the decks within the 3 hours. You can register via the following link.
