by Dennis Kelly
Teenagers torture a peer to death for fun. It wasn't really meant to be, but it happened... Now it's all about getting out of it somehow. The author tells of fatal group dynamics, hierarchies and dependencies in a youthful clique in a thriller-like manner. The play is both a thriller and a revealing social study, posing oppressive questions without apportioning blame.
First performed at London's Royal National Theatre in 2007, the play by British playwright Dennis Kelly has become a modern classic of youth theater literature.
