DOK Premiere DIE MÖLLNER BRIEFE in Stuttgart

In the award-winning documentary DIE MÖLLNER BRIEFE, director Martina Priessner sheds light on the experiences of the survivors of the racist arson attack in Mölln in 1992. The perpetrators of the attack belonged to the neo-Nazi scene. They are responsible for the deaths of two girls of Turkish origin and their grandmother as well as for the serious injuries of nine other people. After the attack, the town of Mölln received hundreds of letters and postcards with expressions of solidarity, some with poems or children's drawings, but no one took any notice of them for almost three decades. The film follows İbrahim, who barely survived the attack at the age of seven, as he discovers these letters and meets three of their authors.
