DonGiovanni2025: Dancing on the abyss.

With DonGiovanni2025, we are bringing Mozart's masterpiece to two of Düsseldorf's most exciting venues: the Central Library (KAP1) and the legendary Ratinger Hof.

Our free version of Mozart and Da Ponte's Don Giovanni deliberately breaks with classical opera traditions.

Singers, actors, chorus and piano merge into an intense live experience in which the audience is not intended as mere observers, but is involved in a dynamic participation - mobile in space, in close proximity to the action and freed from conventional spatial boundaries.
In the Düsseldorf Central Library (KAP1), opera becomes part of everyday urban life. A musical drama unfolds between shelves and reading rooms, bringing the classical material right into the heart of the city.

Important notes on the program and accessibility:

At both venues, the movement of the audience is a central component of the production. The audience is guided through the respective rooms - the experience of the opera is deliberately designed as an immersive format.

Seating in Act 1: Seating is available along the route for visitors who need it. From Act 2: free choice of seating for all guests.
