Orchestral sound bath to kick off the festival: Saxophone star Marius Neset, award-winning pianist Erlend Skomsvoll and the Norwegian Wind Ensemble, which has been in existence for over 300 years, take us on a symphonic journey between jazz and classical music. Neset is not only a spectacular saxophonist, but also an exciting composer. Some of his pieces have been newly composed for the Norwegian Wind Ensemble by the multi-talented Skomsvoll, who Chick Corea once described as one of the world's best arrangers. A concert full of dazzling colors and surprising moments!

China Moses

It's not a tour, it's a lifestyle: China Moses lives for the stage. As the daughter of singing legend Dee Dee Bridgewater, she has been breathing black music from birth. Today, she is at home on the edge of jazz, soul and rhythm & blues. At her performances, China Moses sweeps her audience off their feet with her powerful voice and engaging presence. And tells a story with every note. She has collaborated with greats such as Archie Shepp, Jamie Cullum, Aloe Blacc and Lakecia Benjamin. In addition to her main job as a singer, Moses also inspires as an author, presenter and actress. Together with her deeply relaxed band, she brings nonchalance, tight grooves and a lot of soul to the opera house.
