On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 6:30 pm, we cordially invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition Himmelsstürmer with curator Benita Meißner.

The exhibition presents expansive installations by Frenzy Höhne and Peter Kees that deal with the themes of growth, freedom and self-optimization.

In her installation Bessermenschen-Babbel, Frenzy Höhne brings together numerous porcelain figurines that are reminiscent of a bygone era, but at the same time are overlaid with advertising slogans from the present. The combination of historical allusions and contemporary consumer culture raises questions about social values and the pursuit of self-optimization.

Peter Kees shows the shell of a Cessna 340 A, a symbol of departure, freedom and boundaries. The once airworthy object stands still in space, robbed of its function, and thus questions the belief in unlimited growth.

The guided tour offers exciting insights into the artists' concepts and the social relevance of their work. We look forward to your visit.
