#DORFDISKOTHEK feat. asphalt Festival x THE DORF  DANIEL WANG | ROBIN MARIO

On the last evening of this year's asphalt festival, July 26, asphalt and Düsseldorf magazine THE DORF will celebrate the grand festival finale at 34OST together with DORFDISKOTHEK! Berlin meets Düsseldorf for the perfect soundtrack to the evening - and THE DORF has invited none other than Daniel Wang from the capital.

Originally from California and New York,Daniel Wang has lived in Germany for over 22 years and is a permanent fixture on the international club scene. Whether in Brazil, Japan, Rome, Paris or Helsinki - he regularly plays at the most popular parties worldwide. In Berlin, he is resident DJ at the legendary Paloma Bar and currently plays at formats such as Toytonics, Gegen and Lunchbox Candy. Some simply call his style "disco", but he himself prefers to describe it as "real music for real people" - no laptop gimmicks, no cold algorithms, but real grooves with lots of soul, strings and guitars.

The warm-up comes straight from Düsseldorf: Robin Mario is a passionate record collector with a special love for the Detroit and Chicago sound. Together with Herbert Boese and Deekay, he forms the collective Backroom Basics, which combines house, funk, disco and soul. For Robin, it's not the genre that counts, but the vibe - and that's what he'll be bringing to the floor with an all-vinyl set to kick off the evening.
