"Dortmund Unplugged" is a concert series in Long August that focuses on local artists. Every second Friday of the month, three acts present a 30-minute program with acoustic instruments, their own songs and close proximity to the audience. "Dortmund Unplugged" promotes the diversity and creativity of Dortmund's singer/songwriter scene. It creates a platform for local talents to present themselves and build a close bond between artists and listeners. The series is hosted by Hans Blücher, Boris Gott and a team from Nordmarkt Records and Musiksyndikat Ruhr.
"Denmark", the "Duo Fadenlos" and "The Rival Bid" will perform on 11.04.2025.
The singer-songwriter duo DENMARK is a new project by the two musicians Mark Vetter and Dennis Goschkowski. After years together in two alternative rock bands, they are now focusing on intimate sounds and honest songs. Where the musical journey will take them remains exciting and open.
Cast off - DUO FADENLOS weigh anchor and invite you on a musical journey! With accordion, guitar, clarinet, violin, lyrical singing in many languages and dancing in their suitcases, they travel from django swing to flamenco, from folk to blues, from jazz to chanson. To places where people still laugh, cry, dance and dream as if it were the first time...
Indie rock like a late-night meeting of The Smiths and The xx - darkly shimmering, melancholy and bittersweet. Urgent and yet always pop songs with brains, heart and melody. THE RIVAL BID are not from London or Manchester, but from Dortmund. At Dortmund unplugged as a duo - with a grand gesture, reduced to two guitars with vocals.
SPECIAL: A video shoot for the song "So klingt die Nordstadt" by Hans Blücher will take place during the evening. The choir was recorded at Dortmund Unplugged in the fall - now the video follows.
