DOTA - Springbrunnen Tour 2025

In the noughties, Berlin singer-songwriter Dota Kehr, drummer Janis Görlich and guitarist Jan Rohrbach begin their musical collaboration, first under the pseudonym "Die Kleingeldprinzessin", later under the name DOTA. The band plays tours at home and abroad and releases 16 albums. They collaborate with Brazilian musicians such as Chico Cesár and Danilo Guilherme and receive awards such as the German Record Critics' Award and the Fred Jay Prize. They are joined by keyboardist Patrick Reising and bassist Alex Binder. With "Wir rufen dich, Galaktika", DOTA enter the top ten of the German album charts for the first time in 2021. 2023 sees the release of the album "In der fernsten der Fernen" with settings of Mascha Kaléko's lyrics, on which they gather an illustrious group of duet partners, from Black Sea Dahu to Dirk von Lowtzow (Tocotronic) and Clueso.

Politically engaged, DOTA are not content with having the "right" opinion and delivering slogans for those who are already like-minded. Instead, they confront themselves with their own helplessness. No answers, but songs in which you can indulge in utopia, at least for the duration of a chorus. In this way, DOTA always expose their own point of view, taking the mickey out of it analytically and not taking themselves too seriously. This year, DOTA are releasing their new album "Springbrunnen" and are going on a major tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
