Dotan has always used music as a form of expression. A way to discover the feelings hidden in the corners of his mind. A songwriter with humble beginnings, he played bars and living room shows a decade ago to fund and promote his debut album. In contrast to his earlier, darker work, his latest collection of songs is inspired by light. He drew his inspiration from the music he listened to as a child with his father, including artists such as James Taylor, Neil Young and Cat Stevens.

While working on his upcoming album, Dotan developed a healthier relationship with music. He realized that music can be joyful and radiant, that it can inspire and celebrate life. And that discovery is at the heart of Dotan's upcoming album, a folk-influenced record that tells stories of happier chapters of his life and looks ahead to what's to come.
