Double Time – Bigband Jazz im Doppelpack

Double Time - big band jazz in a double pack - 90 years of concentrated big band sound

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 4.30 pm, the Clara Schumann Hall at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt will be the venue for a very special musical highlight: The Landesjugendjazzorchester (LJJO) Hessen and the JugendJazzOrchester Nordrhein-Westfalen (JJO NRW) will once again come together for a joint concert under the motto "Double Time". But this year there is a special reason to celebrate: the LJJO Hessen is 40 years old - together with the JJO NRW, which has been in existence for 50 years, this makes for an impressive musical anniversary of 90 years!

Both ensembles are figureheads of the German jazz scene and bring together outstanding young musicians from their respective federal states. They stand for musical excellence and big band jazz at the highest level. The audience can look forward to a varied program - from swinging classics and modern compositions to rousing arrangements by renowned jazz composers.

After last year's successful joint concert, the two orchestras are continuing their musical partnership and once again bringing the concentrated energy of jazz to the stage. A concert that big band fans should not miss!
