Drachenfest

In the organizer's words:

The family kite festival on the grounds of the glider airfield on Moltkestraße is one of the largest in Germany. On two days in October, kite flyers from all over the world come together to present their creations and their sport.

The glider pilots of the Flugsportgruppe Lünen e.V. and numerous families from Lünen are always there. The all-day free flying and various kite activities with music and entertainment on two large flying fields attract young and old visitors alike. Large kites, centipedes, revolution kites and a comprehensive supporting program inspire anew every year.

Whether a wide range of culinary delights, children's entertainment program, kite workshop, face painting, walking acts, fire show, night flying or fireworks - a trip to the Lippewiesen guarantees entertaining and action-packed family fun.
