Dreamland Swing Band

The musicians in this band have been active in the Berlin jazz scene for decades and formed a swing trio together in 2016, which was expanded into a quartet in 2021, now with clarinet, piano, double bass, vibraphone and vocals.

They play jazz as it was popular in the 30s and 40s. The numerous small bands of the swing era, the so-called Small Swinging Groups, with their largely freely improvised recordings of well-known jazz pieces, serve as a model. The band's trademark is its unobtrusive playing style, which makes it possible to perform even in the smallest of venues without a lot of technical equipment.
